IT Covered - Brand Design
I was commissioned to create a modern and distinctive brand identity for IT Covered, a new IT company based in York. The client wanted a brand that would stand out from the competition, avoiding the clichés often associated with IT businesses, such as generic tech symbols or overly corporate looks.
The Brief
The brief was clear:

Develop a fresh, modern identity that feels approachable and innovative.

Move away from the typical “tech company” visual tropes.

Ensure the branding is flexible, working seamlessly across both digital and print platforms.

Make the brand memorable and instantly recognisable within the York business community.
During the early creative discussions, we identified a potential issue with the name “IT Covered.” When read quickly, it could be interpreted as “it covered” rather than “I.T. Covered.” To overcome this, we removed “IT” as a visual element from the logo itself, focusing instead on creating a standalone mark that speaks for the brand without relying on the name.

The final logo is modern and streamlined, using a clean, geometric typeface paired with a subtle icon that can be used independently for digital platforms and social media. -
Colour Palette
A bright, contemporary palette was chosen to reflect innovation and energy, moving away from the traditional blue-and-grey tech branding often seen in the industry. -
Supporting Assets
I designed a suite of brand elements, including stationery, social media graphics, and website-ready assets, ensuring a consistent and professional appearance across every touchpoint.
